Cookery Terms

To dice:
Cut in small cubes using a knife.
For 1cm cubes:
1. Cut in 1 cm slices.
2. Cut slices in 1 cm strips.
3. Cut strips in 1 cm cubes
To peel:
Remove an outer layer of skin using a vegetable knife or vegetable peeler.
To grease:
To prepare bake tin or dish using cooking spray or butter or oil, or line with greased paper or baking paper.
To blend:
Mix two or more ingredients to a smooth, uniform consistency.
